A Tribute to Carl Arendt

The model railway community was saddened to learn that Carl Arendt, the modeler behind the immensely popular website Micro/Small Layouts for Model Railroaders, died at his home in Washington State on March 4, 2011. He was 75.

Carl was instrumental in popularizing the micro/small layout movement around the world. Hundreds of people contributed plans, photos and ideas to Carl’s website, and thousands of people have been I nspired by it.

Carl was Jim’s guest on the first episode of The Model Railway Show – broadcast November 1, 2010. For those listeners who missed the first show, this special edition is a re-broadcast of Jim’s interview with Carl.
