I wrote one major feature about my last S Scale layout – Port Rowan in 1:64. It was the cover story in the February-March 2015 issue of The S Scale Resource magazine.
This is a digital magazine published six times per year – and it’s entirely advertiser supported so it’s free to readers. It’s also an excellent magazine for modellers working in every scale, as each issue is full of construction techniques that are applicable across the hobby. I encourage you to subscribe, because even though it’s free the subscription numbers are what enable the publisher to command a fee from advertisers.
This article was tremendous fun to write and shoot – the result of a most enjoyable visit with co-editor Daniel S. Dawdy and Amy Dawdy in late 2014. At 17 pages, the article is also the most complete feature about my Port Rowan layout, which I dismantled when my wife and I moved in September 2020.
