Non-identical twins

Today, I discovered that I have two very different locomotive models with the same road number:

GWR 528 – a 7mm model of a 517 Class locomotive
GO 528 – an HO scale model of this transit operator’s iconic F59PH

Oops. I don’t know how that happened. I guess I like that number.

The problem is, I use the road number as a model’s DCC address, and of course each address must be unique. This is the only such conflict in my collection. I think.

I’ve solved the conflict by giving my GWR steam locomotives two-digit addresses, so this one is now simply “28”. Maybe at some point I’ll re-number the GO unit.
