I have many interests in the hobby and this website covers a lot of territory. I realize some readers may only be interested in one or two aspects of what I cover. Maybe you’re here because you’re an S scale enthusiast… or you like anything that ran under wires… or you’re a fan of British railways at the dawn of the 20th Century.
At the top of this site’s home page, you’ll find several links to landing pages. These include:
- Niagara Electrics in 1:64 – the starting point for my interest in and attempts to model the Niagara St. Catharines & Toronto Railway in S scale.
- The Great Way Round – your ticket to ride all things Great Western Railway related, including Bydemill, my 7mm scale GWR layout set in the Edwardian Era.
- CNR Pine Street – an introduction to my HO scale exhibition layout, based on a spur to serve a paper mill in Thorold, Ontario in the late 1980s/early 1990s.
- Port Rowan in 1:64 – an overview of a now-dismantled layout, which was my introduction to S scale (and, through blogging, to many of you!)
- Adventures in Live Steam – not currently much of an adventure, but a long-simmering interest of mine nonetheless
There are also links to a scroll of posts to this site, some notes on layout design, some information about me – including how to reach me – and my list of Canadian railway hobby events.
Are you looking for something specific?
Scroll down a bit on the home page and you’ll find a search box and a drop-down list of categories. You might enjoy looking at those category entries and clicking on any that spark your curiosity. You never know what you might find.
I add appropriate categories to the bottom of each post I make, so if you enjoy reading a specific post and want to know more about that subject, check out the categories I’ve included.
Unfortunately, these tools only seem to appear when visiting my website. They don’t show up in the WordPress app (Jetpack). So if you normally stay in touch through Jetpack, you’ll have to make a trip to my home page via your browser.
However you visit, thanks for reading!
